Recipe slots come from progression, not inventory alone
Supplied tutorial footage ties Trade Post progression to additional recipe slots. Owning multiple recipes is not the same as being able to activate all of them in the same cook.
Why the second slot matters
Full-game footage explicitly describes two active recipes as a major power spike because the effects can contribute together. One can add Fodder while another supplies Flavor or Essence; two conditional effects can also share the same target Marks or ingredients.
Build toward the slot when
- you already own a second recipe that fits the engine;
- your current farm layout can pay both activation costs reliably;
- the extra Trade Post also contributes useful adjacency/economy.
Do not rush it when
Your second recipe cannot activate, your Fodder base is collapsing, or buying another Trade Post prevents a more urgent survival purchase. Capacity without fuel is empty capacity.
Version note: confirm the exact launch threshold from the in-game ledger before publishing a number. Supplied demo/beta footage should not be treated as immutable launch data.
